Date: Friday, April 25, 2025

Topic: "Sir William Stephenson -- The Man Called Intrepid"

Dwight MacAulay is the past president of the Intrepid Society and will give a talk on one of the most fascinating individuals in the last century, Sir William Stephenson.

Sir William Stephenson grew up in Winnipeg and was given up by his parents as a young child, because they could not afford to feed him. He went on to acquire great wealth. However, much more important was his impact on bringing World War II to a close.

Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond series, famously stated that James Bond is a "highly romanticized version of a true spy" and that the real thing is William Stephenson.

Join Dwight for a talk on this truly incredible man and his life.
